Description
Maestresala wine fermented in barrels is the winery's signature wine. The harvest of the grapes (Tempranillo) was carried out manually in vineyards of more than 70 years. It is a wine made with the carbonic maceration process. Malolactic in barrels. Subsequently, it goes to French and American oak barrels, always new barrels, where it will remain for 6 months with its own lees and another 6 months in the bottle; it is the Top wine of the winery. It is a unique wine from the municipality of Villabuena de Álava, with a very personal and aromatic profile but endowed with a mature and friendly tannin that will surprise the most curious.
Tasting Note
- Appearance: Bright cherry red colour.
- Nose: Intense, with the presence of dairy, red fruits, as well as strawberry and raspberry. Forest fruits, such as blackberries. Wood is what gives it structure.
- Palate: Very tannic, but endowed with a mature and friendly tannin, perfectly balanced with an enormous unctuousness.
