Description

Maestresala "Joven" Rioja is a fresh fruited style of Rioja with zero oak influence made from Tempranillo and a small percentage of Viura (white grape), through carbonic maceration. This method is traditional in Rioja Alavesa and allows to obtain youthful aromatic wines with a pleasant palate. The whole bunches ferment in open concrete tanks in controlled temperature. Corazón de Uva  “heart grape” comes from plot of ancient vines.

 

Tasting Note

 

  • Appearance: Clear, pale intensity in a pale purple colour. 
  • Nose: Very pleasant floral aromas, with hints of ripe red fruit and sweet lollipops -a distinctive sweet aroma of carbonic maceration method-.
  • Palate: Dry, juicy, low tannins with an incredible freshness sensation on the palate.  Easy to drink.
